Answer:

A: The most talented pianist I know.

Explanation:

A fragment is not a main clause because it <em>lacks</em>  one of the elements that have to be present: a subject, a verb, or a complete thought. In the case of the option A, we have the main clause <em>"There's Jack"</em>  and the appositive fragment <em>"The most talented pianist I know."</em>  The correct use of this appositive is to place a comma after the noun Jack, then write the fragment, which has the purpose of describing the noun.

Give me a topic sentence of Brown Girl Dreaming.
forsale [732]

Answer:

Jacqueline Woodson tells her memoir “Brown Girl Dreaming” from the first-person, limited-omniscient, present-tense point of view of herself as a child. She does this for several reasons. First and foremost, the memoir being told is Jacqueline’s, and there is no better person to tell her childhood story than herself. Second, this allows Jacqueline to communicate intimate thoughts, ideas, and feelings with the reader directly, allowing them to see and feel things as she did. It also allows readers a sort of intimacy as if the story was being told by one friend to another. The limited-omniscient aspect lends itself to Jacqueline telling the story as her child-self in present-tense, and not knowing everything going on in the world around her, but having vague ideas or inclinations about events and circumstances beyond her control.

Write a story when you are trapped in a deserted island with the things in your school bag
lyudmila [28]

Hello!

As much as I would love to help you, this is a project where no one can help you. You have to come up with your own answer. Writing is generally about expressing your thoughts based off of the information given. However, I can give you a few pointers to writing a successful story!

1) In this circumstance, you don't want to give facts, but rather your opinion of something/ experience. The best way to do this is to.....

  • Think about an adventure(s) that you have had with your family in the past. It might give you some inspiration.

2) Next, if you are allowed to get ideas, pick some sources, go through all of them, labeling anything mentioning the given topic. (like a detective!). I highly recommend using sticky notes. Maybe try a survival/ survival tips book?

3) Then read through everything that you labeled and write down key ideas and themes throughout your sources that you want to include in your story.

4) Then, just write down anything that comes to mind about the topic. You can edit later.

5) Make sure you do it in one sitting, so that you don't disrupt your train of thought.

6) Don't be afraid to get creative! That is what will make your story stand out!

Good luck! I wish you all the best on your project! Hope it goes well, and I hope I was able to help in some way. One of the best things to do when you are overwhelmed is to <u>just sit down and write</u>. That way you have something to work with, then you can edit accordingly.

By the way, when you finish, you can post another question or a response and I can help you edit it if you would like? Two minds are better than one!
