Answer: The net increase in cash will be a negative $32,020.

In this problem, we are starting with $52,000 in cash. All we have to do is following the steps to see where we end up at.

52000 - 7800 = 44200    Depreciation Expense
44200 - 1700 = 42500     Decrease in Prepaid Expenses
42500 + 12880 = 55380    Increase in Accounts Receivable
55380 - 32700 = 22680     Purchase of Machinery
22680 - 11300 = 11380     Payment of Dividends
11380 + 8600 = 19980   Increase in Bank Borrowing

The net amount of change is 19980 - 52000 = -$32,020

Kyla is hiking. She comes to this marker at a fork in the trail. Which of these gives the same distance to Cascade Falls?
gogolik [260]

Answer:

3.5 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

The actual choices and question is as attached. Since it's shown in a mixed fraction as 3\frac{1}{2} then we convert the number to decimal. \frac {1}{2} will be 1 divided by 2 which is 0.5 hence the distance to Cascade Falls is 3.5 miles

How does pemdas work?! It always confuses me!
const2013 [10]

So PEMDAS is order of operations basicly.

P=Parenthesis

E=Exponets

M=Multiplication

D=Division

A=Addition

S=Subtraction

For example: 2x4+(9x9)-1

When solving order of operations you ALWAYS start with the problem in the parentheses.

(9x9)=81

Now multiplication comes next so, 2x4=8

Then addition, 8+81=88

Lastly subtraction, 88-1=81
