Please help me ASAP! 50 Points for Correct answer!! Quadrilateral WXYZ is on a coordinate plane. Segment XY is on the line x - y

= -3, and segment WZ is on the line x - y = 1. Which statement proves how segments XY and WZ are related? A: They have slopes that are opposite reciprocals of 1 and -1 and are, therefore, perpendicular. B: They have the same slope of 1 and are, therefore, parallel. C: They have slopes that are opposite reciprocals of 0 and undefined and are, therefore, perpendicular. D: They have the same slope of -1 and are, therefore, parallel.

50 Points for Correct answer!!

Quadrilateral WXYZ is on a coordinate plane.

Segment XY is on the line x - y = -3, and segment WZ is on the line x - y = 1.

D: They have the same slope of -1 and are, therefore, parallel.

x-y = -3  => y = x+3...........(1)  => slope = coefficient of x = 1

x-y = 1  => y = x-1 ..............(2) => slope = coefficient of x = 1

Therefore the correct statement is

They have the same slope of 1 and are, therefore, parallel.

Given: Base ∠BAC and ∠ACB are congruent.
Sergio039 [100]

Refer to the image attached.

Given: \angle BAC and \angle ACB are congruent.

To Prove: \DeltaABC is an isosceles triangle.

Construction: Construct a perpendicular bisector from point B to Line segment AC.

Consider triangle ABD and BDC,

\angle BAD = \angle BCD (given)

\angle ADB = \angle BDC = 90^\circ

(By the definition of a perpendicular bisector)

AD=DC (By the definition of a perpendicular bisector)

Therefore, \Delta ABD \cong \Delta BDC by Angle Side Angle(ASA) Postulate.

Line segment AB is congruent to Line segment BC because corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent.(CPCTC)
