OPTION 2: Patron

Cosimo de' Medici (1389 – 1464), as one of the wealthiest men in Florence and ruler of Florence (Although not legally), was best characterized as a patron.

Much of his patronage was for monasteries (like the rebuilding of the Dominican monastery of San Marco), churches, scholars (such as backing Poggio Bracciolino's traveling to rediscover long-lost classical manuscripts), masters (Such as the finance of the translation of Plato's work by the philosopher Marsilio Ficino), art, architecture and other good causes.

As the leader of Florence, Cosimo de’ Medici was best characterized as a patron.

Further Explanations:

Cosimo de' Medici also known as Elder and “Father Of Fatherland” was an Italian bank officer and a politician born on 27th September 1389. He was the first one from the family of Medici to rule Florence during the era of the Italian Renaissance. In spite of its influence, his authority was not absolute and his own legislative council resisted his proposals. He was always seen as an autocrat by his council member. His power prevailed from his riches that he earned from being a banker and was also a great patron of art and architecture.

Cosmio's established his power from his wealth, which he used to influence votes of the municipal councils and officeholders. His authority was like a danger to anti-Medici party governed by leaders like Reinaldo Degi Albizzi. He was even poisoned in Palazzo Vecchio for his failure in the conquest of the Republic of Lucca.

How did methods of warfare in World War II differ from those in World War I?
Genrish500 [490]
World War II was fought out in the open with many new machines that had been developed. WWI was fought in trenches--long ditches that had been dug in the ground to be used for protection. During WWI, machine guns had also just been invented, so the war was mainly fought with machine guns and trenches. Hope this helps!

Was Franklin Roosevelt successful at combatting the Great Depression? How did the New Deal affect future generations of American
Dmitry [639]
FDR's New Deal was successful at combating the Great Depression. After implementing his New Deal policies, the unemployment rate dropped by roughly 10% in the first few years. Along with this, the programs helped to build America's infrastructure, parks, and resulted in the creation of several long term agencies that exist today (like the SEC and FDIC).

The New Deal affected future generations by creating agencies that still exist today. A perfect example is the Social Security Administration. This gives financial assistance to America's elderly population. This system is one that most employees currently pay into. This has been seen as a successful program, as it helps to pay for several different things (like medical costs) that senior citizens would otherwise struggle to pay for.
