Scarcity of resources. The European countries and Japan didn't have all the resources they needed in order to keep up industrialization and a few other reasons. They resorted to taking over other lands in order the "cheaply" obtain the resources.
One of the ones I realy like is aphrodite, then there is zues, hercules, hera, persephone etc.
I agree because we need to inforce laws or else our country would be a mess. Even though the president has many other important jobs, i believe carrying pur the laws is the most important.
