x 4 which technically translates to 4/x

That probably made no sense buuuut think 4 divided by what would give you negative 2?

-2! And what minus -2 will give you -2?

0! So 0 is your answer I’m sorry if that made no sense

PLEASE HELP! 50 POINTS ON THE LINE!
MAVERICK [17]

Answer: hello! I'm here to help.

Let's work the problem using just the thousands and leave the zeros off. We'll add them back at the end.

Let M be the salary of the Master's degree, and B be the salary of the Bachelor's degree.

M + B = 120

M + 39 = 2B

M = 2B - 39

2B - 39 + B = 120

3B - 39 = 120

3B = 159

B = 53

M = 120 - B = 120 - 53 = 67

How to solve this problem by classifying systems of equations
3x+4y=36
-5x=35-3y
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

x=-32/29

y=9\frac {24}{29}

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+4y=36 Equation 1

-5x+3y=35 Equation 2

Multiplying equation 1 with 3 (value before y in equation 2) and equation 2 with 4 (value before y in equation 1) we obtain equations 3 and 4 as follows

9x+12=108 equation 3

-20x+12y=140 equation 4

Subtracting equation 3 from equation 4 we obtain

-29x=32

x=-32/29

To find the value of y, we substitute the value of x into equation 2 as initially given in the equation

-5(-32/29)=35-3y

-5(-32/29)-35=-3y

y=9\frac {24}{29}
