Global Warming: Global warming is a gradual increase in the Earth's temperature over time.

Greenhouse Effect: The greenhouse effect causes the Earth to be colder than usual, and the gases polluting the air build up and form a thick layer of substances which trap the sun's radiation.

Gases: Certain gases such as Carbon Dioxide, CFC's and many more, cause the Earth to become warmer.

Littering: Littering pollutes the Earth's air, making a build up of gases stronger, which could lead to the temperature's rising too high in the near future.

Photosynthesis: Photosynthesis is a process where plants use a process of water and carbon dioxide to make food, and to grow and release oxygen into the Earth's atmosphere.

Hope this helps! x

Identify the structures a virus can contain.
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

The simplest virions consist of two basic components: nucleic acid (single- or double-stranded RNA or DNA) and a protein coat, the capsid, which functions as a shell to protect the viral genome from nucleases and which during infection attaches the virion to specific receptors exposed on the prospective host cell.

How might a gene mutation be silent, with no observable effect on a cell or an organism? A. Codons are complementary to anticodo
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

D. Many amino acids are encoded by multiple codons. A gene mutation that encodes the same amino acid would have no observable effect on the cell or the organism

Explanation:

If gene mutation does not change code (gene still encodes for the same amino acid), the same protein with its function will be produced. This is called synonymous mutation.

Silent mutations might also occur when  codon is altered to produce an amino acid with similar function as previous (e.g. leucine to isoleucine) so that the function of protein is not significantly changed.
