If heart disease runs in your family, you should eat healthy food and exercise. Lifestyle choices, such as healthy food and exercises can lower the chance of getting a heart disease.

People that have some medical conditions, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes more likely to develop heart disease. Having a close relative with heart disease, especially when they get it at a young age, also increasing your chance to get a heart disease.

There are some steps to lower the chance of getting a heart disease:

Heart disease can be prevented or treated with healthy lifestyle choices, such as:

  1. A healthy diet
  2. Getting enough physical activity
  3. Limiting alcoholic beverages
  4. Not smoking
  5. Managing stress

Check your cholesterol and blood pressure regularly and manage diabetes level. Having a family history of cardiovascular diseases you should be proactive about your health and make health choices to prevent these diseases, because lifestyle factors have huge impact.
