Why might critics of the first new deal have favored second new deal

History
1 answer:
Hoochie [10]3 years ago
8 0

People like Southern Democrats, Conservative Republicans, and corporate leaders didn't like the New Deal because it opposed the idea of a laissez-faire philosophy to govt. Southern Conservatives didn't favor the deal because they feared that the Jim Crow Laws of their region were threatened and corporate leaders and Republican Conservatives did not want the govt. to become anti-laissez-faire. Many Conservatives thought that the deal would go on to introduce acts like the Social Security Act that would allow people to become lazy as in some cases people use the govt. However, for the Second New Deal, FDR campaigned himself as an "ordinary working-class American" which republicans (critics) favored. FDR has stated that he though direct payments to the poor were "a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit." -- Republicans agreed with that, too.

The colonists' determination to declare war on Britain and form their own nation with their own laws is what most motivated them to draft the Olive Branch Petition. Option B is correct.

What is the Olive Branch Petition?

The Olive Branch Petition was written by John Dickinson and authorized by the Second Continental Congress, was a report presented to King George of Britain on July 5, 1775.

The Olive Branch Petition's principal goal was to persuade Parliament to wait for an agreement to be reached before moving forward with the colonists' defense.

During the American Revolution, the Olive Branch Petition was a vital attempt by the settlers to avoid engaging in war with Britain. The colonists pledged their loyalty to the monarch in this declaration, which also outlined their rights as British subjects.

You have three stoves: a gas stove, a wood stove, and a coal stove, but only one match. Which should you light first?
olganol [36]

Answer:

I´m not exactly sure but I would light the wood stove first.

Explanation:

If I lit the wood stove first, I would carefully use pieces of wood that are burning to light the other stoves. Kind of like when lighting candles for a birthday cake, you light one then use that to light the others.
