a Second character known as the Antagonist
The playwright Aeschylus is famous for adding a second speaking role, called the antagonist. He wrote tragedies about the difficult choices men were faced with and the outcome of those decisions. Some of his most famous plays include the Agamemnon and the Eumenides.
Writing opinions helps judges think through complex issues forcing the judge to carefully consider the reasons for the judgement rendered. Judges also take pride in their decisions and want affirmation that they are correct, however it doesn't always happen. Hope this helped!
