Air pollution problems such as smog and acid rain result from the presence of, and interactions among, various air pollutants released to the atmosphere through natural processes and human activities. Natural sources of air pollution include forest fires, volcanoes and emissions of volatile organic compounds from vegetation. Human sources of air pollution include activities that rely on carbon-based fuels, for example, transportation, electric utilities, industrial processes such as oil and gas production, as well as certain products, such as paints and solvents. Deforestation carried out to create dry lands is one of the major concerns. Land that is once converted into a dry or barren land, can never be made fertile again, whatever the magnitude of measures to redeem it are. Land conversion, meaning the alteration or modification of the original properties of the land to make it use-worthy for a specific purpose is another major cause. This hampers the land immensely. Also there is a constant waste of land. Unused available land over the years turns barren; this land then cannot be used.Agriculture disrupts all freshwater systems hugely from their pristine states

Which of these poses the greatest challenge to the sovereignty of a nation-state in the developing world?
N76 [4]

Answer:

The activities of multinational corporations.

Explanation:

Multinational companies are those economic corporations that offer goods or services in more than one country, thus grabbing large market shares at the international level.

These companies generally have large sums of capital to invest, with which they tend to exert an enormous influence on nations with fewer economic resources. Thus, when investing in underdeveloped countries, these countries give up more than a market share, but also on many occasions their own power to exercise their sovereignty, mainly in relation to their natural resources and the administration of their territory.

What is the force that drives the Wisconsin river?
grandymaker [24]
The Wisconsin River originates in the forests of the North Woods Lake District of northern Wisconsin, in Lac Vieux Desert near the border of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It flows south across the glacial plain of central Wisconsin, passing through Wausau, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Rapids. In southern Wisconsin it encounters the terminal moraine formed during the last ice age, where it forms the Dells of the Wisconsin River. North of Madison at Portage, the river turns to the west, flowing through Wisconsin's hilly Western Upland and joining the Mississippi approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Prairie du Chien.
