Okay, well, Towards the south it was near the origins of the thing we call , Nile River was the Upper Egypt; while the northern (profitably northernmost) part of the thing we call the Nile was at the being of the end of the river which we call the lower part of Egypt

The lower is mainly made up of the Nile Delta and the Upper is the country further south.  They are different also in social, cultural and geographical.
