Answer:

\frac{1}{9}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :A spinner has three equal sections labeled 1, 2, and 3. It is spun twice.

Solution :Which expression can be used to determine P(2, then 1)?

Solution :

Total no. of events = {1,2,3}=3

When it is spin for the first time .

Since we are given in the first spin she should get 2

No. of Favorable events ={2}=1

probability of getting 2 = \frac{\text{No. of favorable events}}{\text{No. of total events}}

= 1/3

In second spin she should get 1

No. of Favorable events ={1}=1

probability of getting 1= \frac{\text{No. of favorable events}}{\text{No. of total events}}

=\frac{1}{3}

Thus  P(2, then 1) = \frac{1}{3} *\frac{1}{3}

Hence the expression : P(2, then 1) = \frac{1}{3} *\frac{1}{3}

                                                         = \frac{1}{9}

From a point on a cliff 75 feet above water level, an observer can see a shipThe angle of depression to the ship is d^ How far i
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

52feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The set up will be a right angle

Let the angle of depression be 30°

The height above the sea level will be the opposite

The distance of the ship from the base is x (adjacent)

Using TOA

Tan theta = opposite/adjacent

Tan 30 = 30/x

x = 30/tan 30

x = 30/0.5774

x = 51.96

x ≈ 52 feet to the nearest foot

Will give 50 points!!! ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

\frac{1}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

Since there are a total of 4 colors, and there are 5 of each colors, the total marbles in the bad would be;

5 x 4 = 20

If a color is selected at random the probability would be

\frac{part}{whole}

our part is 5

our whole is 20

so the probability would be;

\frac{5}{20} or \frac{1}{4} when reduced

Hope this helps!
