Answer:

x = -1/9

Step-by-step explanation:

first let's think of x as 1x so than x^2 is basically 1x.

you bring down 8x + 1 = 0 so you have x + 8x + 1 = 0.

than you add x and 8x which equals 9x.

you bring the problem down one more time so 9x + 1 = 0.

you subtract 1 from each side so the 0 becomes because 0 - 1 is -1.

So than you bring the rest of the problem down 9x = -1

Last thing you do is divide 9 from both sides which x = -1/9.

(2x - 4) – 2 = 1 - 2(x – 3)<br> I need help with this one may someone help me??
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

\boxed {x = \frac{13}{4}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve for the value of x:

(2x - 4) - 2 = 1 - 2(x - 3)

-Subtract 2 from 4:

(2x - 4) - 2 = 1 - 2(x - 3)

2x - 6 = 1 - 2(x - 3)

-Use <u>Distributive Property</u>:

2x - 6 = 1 - 2(x - 3)

2x - 6 = 1 - 2x - 6

-Add 2x to both sides:

2x - 6 + 2x = 1 - 2x + 2x - 6

4x - 6 = 7

-Add both sides by 6:

4x - 6 + 6 = 7 + 6

4x = 13

-Divide both sides by 4:

\frac{4x}{4} = \frac{13}{4}

\boxed {x = \frac{13}{4}}

Therefore, the value of x is \frac{13}{4}.

IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS , A PLANT GREW 1/16 IN. AND 3/16 IN. RESPECTIVELY
grandymaker [24]
I'm assuming you mean that the plant grew 1/16th of an inch the first week, and 3/16th of an inch the next week. Simply add the two together (4/16th) and simplify. Since four goes into both numbers, the simplified version is 1/4th. Hope this helps

What choices are equivalent to 48/64
Harrizon [31]
There are no choices so I’m going to assume this is simplification.

Answer:
3/4 —> this is the most simplified version of that fraction.

Explanation:
48/64 can be divided by multiple things to gain fractions. You could divide it by 2 repeatedly until arriving to a fraction wherein you couldn’t split anymore.
Ex.) 48/64 = 24/32 = 12/16 = 6/8 = 3/4
All of the above answers are equivalent to 48/64.
An easier way to reach the final answer of 3/4 would be to find the greatest common factor of 48/64. You can divide both by 16 and then get to 3/4.

Hope this helps!
