Help!! Use your knowledge of the structure of narrative poetry to explain why it might be easier to read than a sonnet or other

poetry form.
Let's check out Dakota's post:

I enjoyed reading the villanelle "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night," but the form did not make it easier to comprehend. It did make it easier to read. I knew where the refrain would be and how many lines were in a stanza. I could anticipate the rhyme. On the other hand, "Lochinvar" was easier for me to comprehend because it tells a story. I know that there will be some conflict or problem and that the main character will spend time trying to solve it.

Create one post that answers the following prompt.

Narrative poems tell a story and use many of the same elements that stories use.

How might this knowledge make a narrative poem easier to comprehend?
What do you think is a useful strategy to help understand a narrative poem?

As it is explained in the text, a narrative poem provides an account of some anecdote as it is experienced by a persona. In this sense , it is easier to comprehend because narrations are given in chronological order and if this is not so, by reading carefully one is able to find the order in which things happen. It is useful to try to find causes and then consequences of the actions in a narrative poem.At the same time, there is a conflict to be identified and a beginning and end to the action being narrated. If the conclusion is not provided , it is left for the reader to find out, with elements given in the poem, what happens in the end of the narration.

Why doesn't Holden tell us what happened to land him on a mental institution? What do YOU think happened?
seropon [69]
In an analysis of Holden Caulfield's character in the Catcher in the Rye, his personality is not that typical. He is not the average joe kind of guy that has a cause and effect for everything. Also, the guy evidently suffers from a mental illness that disables him to function normally in social situations. He is biased to act towards his temper and emotions at the moment rather than thinking it through. His psychologic breakdown is what led his family to sign him up for therapy. It seems he cannot understand the chain of events himself that's why he narrates conversationally as if talking to a friend instead of narrating as a matter of factly like any other story would go.

The correct answer is A. reliable.
The writer was 'an authoritative source' because of her degrees, guest appearances, etc. Thus, she was a source you could rely on, she was reliable, given that she had experience to back her ideas up. Therefore A is the only correct answer.
