Look at the summary and theme and compare the story to a movie or book that has the same theme or situation. Unless you want to contrast. Then you find a book of the same genre let's science-fic but make sure the situation though maybe similar has different themes and story's.
It's basically about a boy who's very invested in computers and technology, but is very socially isolated. One day, he discovers a virtual chatroom, the eponymous Nethergrave. Find something similar.

I have several ideas on what you can use. For example: "Among the hidden" Compare: Luke the protagonist is an illegal child or shadow child. He is to hide to not get killed since in the future America will scarce of food provisions and the population needs to lower down. One day he finds out his neighbors have a hidden illegal child with them. So he goes to inspect... etc. He makes a friend named: Jen. Jen tells him that she has a chatroom full of shadow children or illegal children. See the similarity?

Also, another book would be the sequel to Among the hidden. Luke is anti-social and he doesn't fit in into his new school since bullies are after him there is a similar situation happening to the protagonist in Nethergrave. `

Both face man vs. self and character vs. character. Just to name a few similarities.
