This reaction is catalyzed by the enzyme called RuBisCO ( RuBP carboxylase/ oxygenase) that combines RuBP (ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate) with CO₂ and forms a six carbon unstable compound, which is splitted into 2 molecules of 3-PGA.
