The occupations of biomedical engineers, skin care specialists, and physician assistants are among the 15 with the largest growt

h from 2008 to 2018. The number of physician assistant jobs will grow 2 thousands less than 3 times the number of biomedical engineer jobs. The number of skin care specialist jobs will grow 13 thousand more than half the number of biomedical engineer jobs. If the total growth of these three jobs is predicted to be 65 thousand, find the predicted growth of each job.

Answer:

Let the growth in the number of biomedical jobs is x thousand,

Thus, According to the question,

The number of physician assistant jobs will grow = 3 x - 2000

The number of skin care specialist jobs will grow = 1/2 x + 13,000,

Thus, the total growth in the number of these three occupation,

= x + 3 x - 2000 + 1/2 x + 13000

= 9/2 x + 11000

Again, according to the question,

9/2 x + 11000 = 65,000

9/2 x = 54,000

9 x = 108000

x = 12,000

Hence, the growth in the number of biomedical jobs = x = 12,000

The number of physician assistant jobs will grow = 3 x - 2000 = 3 × 12000 - 2000 = 36000 - 2000 = 34000

The number of skin care specialist jobs will grow = 1/2 x + 13,000 = 1/2 × 12000 + 13000 =  6000 + 13000 = 19000

zalisa [80]

Answer:

amt. the shop spends on 40 pairs

= $11 × 40

= $440

amt. paid extra (due to fixed cost) per pair

= ($450 - $440) ÷ 40

= $0.25

amt. per pair to break even

= $11 + $0.25

= $11.25

Step-by-step explanation:

The object-shadow ratio for the stick= 3÷1.5=2:1

The object-shadow ratio is same for all objects.

Let height of the tree be x

2/1 = x/10.15

x=10.15 * 2=20.3

1) You are designing a new kiddie soccer arena. The area of the rectangular
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

The length of the rectangular field is 12 ft and the width is 5 ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a rectangle is:

\text{Area} = \text{length}\times \text{width}

The area of a rectangular field is, <em>A</em> = 60 ft.

The length of the field is:

l = w + 7

Compute the width of the field as follows:

\text{Area} = \text{length}\times \text{width}

60=(w+7)\times w\\\\60=w^{2}+7w\\\\w^{2}+7w-60=0\\

Factorize the last equation by splitting the middle term as follows:

w^{2}+7w-60=0\\w^{2}+12w-5w-60=0\\w(w+12)-5(w+12)=0\\(w-5)(w+12)=0

Now, since the width of rectangular field cannot be negative, the width is 5 ft.

Compute the length as follows:

l = w + 7

 = 5 + 7

 = 12

The length of the rectangular field is 12 ft.
