X = 3
y = 1

You can get this by adding straight through and the y terms will cancel. Then divide the x terms to get the answer. You can then plug that x into either equation to solve for y.

Choose any one of these. Hopefully this helps :D

They're both solved using elimination method. [The labels 'Method 1' & 'Method 2' do not change the way they're solved here].

slamgirl [31]

Answer:

C.

Step-by-step explanation:

❌Option A is incorrect

Rationale: from the graph, 1 hr on the x-axis doesn't correspond to $100 on the y-axis

❌Option B is incorrect

Rationale: from the graph, 2 hrs on the x-axis doesn't correspond to $200 on the y-axis. It can't also be the unit rate because unit rate would be the amount of dollars per 1 hr.

✅Option C is CORRECT

Rationale: from the graph, 8 hrs on the x-axis corresponds to $500 on the y-axis

❌Option D is incorrect

Rationale: from the graph, 4 hr on the x-axis doesn't correspond to $300 on the y-axis

Pls help having a hard time understanding I just need the answers
Lisa [10]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

Basically, you can rule out all of the other answers by the following criteria:

A is wrong because any y= equation without an x is just a straight horizontal line

C is wrong because any x= equation is just a vertical line

D is wrong because both lines shown are positive lines, and both equations in answer D are negative

Therefore by process of elimination, the only answer that makes sense is B

Solve for this equation for r:

r+2s/2=6+t
docker41 [41]
R+2s/2=6+t
r+s=6+t (Divide 2s by 2 giving you just 2)
r=6+t-s (subtract s from both sides positive s and negative s cancel out leaving only r on the left and negative s on the right.)
the answer is
r=6+t-s
