Answer:

Bag of windflower bulbs costs $8.50

Package of crocus bulbs costs $17.60

Step-by-step explanation:

Let $x be the price of one bag of windflower bulbs and $y be the price of one  package of crocus bulbs.

1. Mark sold 2 bags of windflower bulbs for $2x and 5 packages of crocus bulbs for $5y. In total he earned $(2x+5y) that is $105. So,

2x+5y=105

2. Julio sold 9 bags of windflower bulbs for $9x and 5 packages of crocus bulbs for $5y. In total he earned $(9x+5y) that is $164.50. So,

9x+5y=164.50

3. You get the system of two equations:

\left\{\begin{array}{l}2x+5y=105\\ \\9x+5y=164.50\end{array}\right.

From the first equation

5y=105-2x

Substitute it into the second equation:

9x+105-2x=164.50

7x=164.50-105

7x=59.5

x=$8.50

So,

5y=105-2·8.5

5y=105-17

5y=88

y=$17.60

I need to know how to balance the scales it says ''Make the scales balance by using addition and subtraction to find in the miss
kramer

This would be much, much, much easier if you told us
what numbers you do have on each side of the scale now.

The idea (probably) is that the scale is balanced when
the numbers add up to the same amount on both sides.

So you need to put some numbers in the blanks that will either
add more to the side that has less, or subtract some from the side
that has more, to make both sides equal.

Sams brother is 7 years older than Sam. His mother is 4 less than 3 times sams age. Their combined age is 63. How old isn’t Sam,
statuscvo [17]

The answer is 14. This is because 63=3+x+3x-4. Then You just subtract it and then you get 64=4x. Then you just divide it and then you get x=16.

Solve for x 6(x-1)=9(x+2)
tigry1 [53]
<span>Simplifying 6(x + -1) = 9(x + 2) Reorder the terms: 6(-1 + x) = 9(x + 2) (-1 * 6 + x * 6) = 9(x + 2) (-6 + 6x) = 9(x + 2) Reorder the terms: -6 + 6x = 9(2 + x) -6 + 6x = (2 * 9 + x * 9) -6 + 6x = (18 + 9x) Solving -6 + 6x = 18 + 9x Solving for variable 'x'. Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right. Add '-9x' to each side of the equation. -6 + 6x + -9x = 18 + 9x + -9x Combine like terms: 6x + -9x = -3x -6 + -3x = 18 + 9x + -9x Combine like terms: 9x + -9x = 0 -6 + -3x = 18 + 0 -6 + -3x = 18 Add '6' to each side of the equation. -6 + 6 + -3x = 18 + 6 Combine like terms: -6 + 6 = 0 0 + -3x = 18 + 6 -3x = 18 + 6 Combine like terms: 18 + 6 = 24 -3x = 24 Divide each side by '-3'. x = -8 Simplifying x = -8</span>
