2x - 50 = 150

Add 50 to both sides:

2x - 50 + 50 = 150 + 50

2x = 200

Divide both sides by 2:

2x/2  =  200/2

x = 100

Answer:  X = 100

Hope that helps!!!!! (x = 100)

Start out by adding 50 to both sides.

2x - 50 + 50 = 150 + 50
 which simplifies to
2x = 200

then divide both sides by 2
2x ÷ 2 = 200 ÷ 2
 which simplifies to
x = 100

And that is your answer! Hope this helps :)

What is the length x of the right triangle, rounded to the nearest<br> tenth?
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

109.5; B

Step-by-step explanation:

From your identity,

CosA = adjacent/ hypothenus

A represent an arbitrary angle between the sides in question.

In the question above, A=64

Hypothenus is the longest side and adjacent is the side just below the angle .

In the above case,

Hypothenus= X

adjacent =48

This means;

Cos64 = 48 /X

X = 48 / cos64; [ from cross multiplication and diving through by cos64]

X = 48 /0.4383 [ cos64 in radian = 0.4383]

= 109.51

= 109.5 to the nearest tenth.

Note( do your calculation of angle in radian or else, you won't get the answer)

For what value of k will these pairs of simultaneous equations have no solution?
yKpoI14uk [10]
Kx-3y=k
y=4x+1 ( we will put it in 1st equation )
kx - 3 (4x+1)=k
kx - 12 x - 3 =k
kx - 12 x = k+3
x(k-12) = k+3
x=\frac{k+3}{k-12}
Also y=\frac{5k}{k-12}
We can not divide with zero.
k-12=0
k=12
For k= 12 equations have no solutions.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Parts of the question are missing.

y = a(x-h)² + k is a vertical parabola.

If a is positive, the parabola opens upwards.

If a is negative, the parabola opens downwards.

The vertex is at (h, k)
