Answer:

According to treaties signed in 1818 and 1827, the United States jointly occupied Oregon with Great Britain.

Explanation:

The territory of Oregon was originally claimed by Great Britain, France, Russia and Spain; the Spanish claim was resumed as of 1819 by the United States. The extension of the area claimed was imprecise at first, evolving over decades in the borders established in the 1818 treaty between British and Americans.

The British claimed the entire Oregon territory, that is, they carried their claim to the south to the 42nd parallel north, which had been the limit agreed in 1819 between Spain and the United States in the Adams-Onis Treaty. The dispute between Great Britain and the United States was resolved peacefully, and until 1846 the United Kingdom -in factual, England itself- and the United States, through the Anglo-American Convention of 1818, exercised a condominium over the entire Territory of Oregon, also ensuring the inhibition of possible Mexican or Russian claims.

What is an anvil? What does von Billow mean when he says Germany will be "a hammer or an anvil"?
Illusion [34]
An anvil is something that is used to hammer metal into shape on. Von Billow meant that Germany would either be that which hammers the metal, or that which gets hammered on.

(SELECT ALL THE OPTIONS)
Blizzard [7]

The correct answers are greater regulation of business, political power in the hands of the people, tax reductions and free silver movement.

- The Populist's Party considered that the government should take the role of owning and managing all railroads (via a federal appropriation of the railroad's system) to have a more regulatory role over the power of bankers and railroad magnates over this transportation system.

- Another major point was the popular election of U.S. Senators. During that time, senators were chosen by the state legislatures, and not by the people's vote, a factor that allowed business lobbies to excerpt influence over the selection of these officials. They also sponsored a reform of the legislative system to include the referendum and recall as a chance of having a more direct voice on how the country was being run.

- "The Omaha Platform: Policies for the common man" also calls for the implementation of a Graduated Income Tax. The party considered that the income resulted from this contribution was going to allow the reduction of the burden that was placed upon domestic industries.

- At last, the group also known as the "Silverites" called for the free and unlimited coinage of silver to achieve three things: Ending the nation's economic crisis, allowing the wealth to reach a more significant portion of the population, and decreasing the value of money, causing deflation.

I think, it's really hard to diminish the violent behavior in the current generation. The only way for African people to prevent violence and civil war is to create a strong law enforcement within the government and impose heavy punishment to the violent groups. Then, they should start to improve the quality of education to develop the young minds of Africa so they became a better generation than their previous one.

Hope this helps
