Answer: KL is 21.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Looking at the information given we can say that  JK has to equal the length of KL plus JL becuse KL and JL lie on JK.   So set the equation equal each to solve for x.

KL = 2x + 2

JL = 55

JK = 7x + 8

2x + 2 + 55 = 7x + 8     Solve for x

2x + 57 = 7x + 8

-2x          -7x

57 = 5x + 8

-8             -8

49 = 5x

x=  49/5

Since we know that x is equal to 49/5 to find the length of KL we need to input x.

KL = 2x +2

KL = 2(49/5) + 2

KL = 98/5  + 2

KL = 108/5

KL = 21.6

A random sample of 50 students at a large high school resulted in a 95 percent confidence interval for the mean number of hours
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

A . About 95% of all random samples of 50 students from this population would result in a 95% confidence interval that covered the population mean number of hours of sleep per day.

Step-by-step explanation:

x% confidence interval:

A confidence interval is built from a sample, has bounds a and b, and has a confidence level of x%. It means that we are x% confident that the population mean is between a and b.

In this question:

95% CI from a sample of 50 students is (6.73, 7.67).

This means that we are 95% sure that the population mean is in this interval, that is, about 95% samples of 50 would contain the population mean, which is given by option A.

Find Sn for the given arithmetic series.<br> Q1 = -40, d =-7, n=22
guapka [62]

Answer:

S_n = -2497

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given an arithmetic series with the following terms:

First term, Q_1 = -40

Common difference, d = -7

Number of terms, n = 22

To find out: Sum of n terms, where n is 22

We know that Sum of n terms in an arithmetic series is given as:

S_n =\dfrac{n}{2} (2Q_1+(n-1)d)

Putting the values in the formula:

S_{22} = \dfrac{22}{2} (2 \times -40+(22-1)\times (-7))\\\Rightarrow S_{22} = 11 \times (-80-147)\\\Rightarrow S_{22} = 11 \times (-227)\\\Rightarrow S_{22} = -2497

So, the sum of 22 terms is <em>-2497</em>.

Answer:

  slope: 0.10

Step-by-step explanation:

The independent variable is the number of texts, so that goes in the denominator of the slope ratio.

  slope = (change in cost)/(change in texts)

  = ($30 -25)/(100 -50)

  = $5.00/50

  slope = $0.10 per text
