No matter where you go or how much gravitational pull there is, mass always stays the same:

But for weight, the amount of weight depends of the pull of gravity, the more pull the heavier the object. Because we know there is almost no gravity on the moon, then we know that things are lighter on the moon.

Earth: More weight, Same mass
Moon: Less weight, Same mass
