Merits of roadways-

1. Construction of roadways is cost friendly than railways.

2. Helps in providing employment to people in many ways.

3. helps to provide door to door service unlike railways and airways

Demerits of roadways-

1. It has become more expensive due to the increase in petrol prices.

2. Not suitable for transportation of bulky and heavy goods from state to state or country to country.
