Answer:

If contours are close together it indicates a steep slope and if they are apart it means a relatively gentle or flat slope.

Explanation:

Topographic maps were created to depict the relief features and type of terrain on the map. The use of contour lines drawn on a map is done to show the lines of equal height of elevation. These lines tend to remain constant. Also, there are three types of contour lines on a map i.e the supplementary, Index and Intermediate. The dark brown color is used to show lines of high altitude and light brown lines represent low altitude. The more close the line is the steeper is the wall and the far the lines are less is the compactness and more is the gap.

Why are fossils of early life on earth more rare than fossils of plants and animals from the past few hundred million years?
docker41 [41]

There are multiple reasons why the fossils of the animals and plants of the more distant past are much more rare than the fossils of the animals and plants from the past few hundred million years. The earlier life organisms were much less complex, often lacking solid body structures. That means that the chances that they can be preserved are very low from the start. The fossils can not last forever, and in order for fossils to be preserved over such a long time there has to be very specials conditions in which the fossils have been preserved, and that is very rare. The movement of the tectonic plates has resulted in the disappearance of parts of some plates, or even all of them, while also creating new ones. The parts of the oldest crust have almost entirely been destroyed through subduction, thus getting below other plates and being melted in the astenosphere.

What type of economic growth do most developed economies experience?
Sav [38]

Most developed countries experience a slower economic growth compared the developing counties. Economic growth is very different from the economic development. Development will elevate the people from the low standards of living to proper employment which has suitable housing while growth does not consider natural resources that will lead to pollution, diseases and congestion. Development on the other hand is concerned with sustainability meaning that it is meeting the needs of the present without compromising the future needs.
