Senators can use a filibuster in order to:
Delvig [45]

The correct answer is A) Prevent the Senate from voting on a bill.

A filibuster is a tactic still used in the Senate today. This method involves individuals who are trying to stop a vote from happening on the floor. To do this, Senators take an extremely long time to discuss the bill and use up so much time that the bill will expire/Congress will go to recess before the Senate has the ability to vote on it.

what is one of the principles that thomas jefferson bases americas declaration of indepaendence from great britain upon
JulijaS [17]

Jefferson states that a government can only rule over those who consent to that power. By this Jefferson would be saying that when a government uses a colony for its own selfish ends ie exploits the colony by taking more than it gives back, then that colony has the right to rebel because it is being oppressed and this oppression includes the threat of military force if its' for example economic demands are not met. If the citizens do not consent to the foreign power's control over their lives then they have the right to fight to establish a government that meets their needs. This was a similar struggle to that of Simon Bolivar in Venezuela when he led the creoles and the natives against the cruel Spanish rule.

What was the driving force behind european imperialism in africa dbq essay answers
Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

The driving force was Economics; the need for resources and technological advances.

Explanation:

Europeans took over Africa in the 18's. The Scramble For Africa then make the European to enslave Africans and took all their resources.

It all started because of Europeans' competitions. In order to be better than their neighbor in the continent(Europe), Europeans needed ''more'' riches.

Europeans wanted Africa resources such as rubber. For England, they only want more power but Germany want to compete and beat the ''English'' people.

So, the Europeans main driving force is Economics.
