<span>Paramagnetic, an easy way to check is to see if it is the last element within the orbital and you can do that simply by looking at the periodic table. The s orbital has two, the p has 6 so on and so forth. Some elements are considered diamagnetic if they are almost completely full. </span>

Answer:

paramagnetic

Explanation:

Paramagnetic are those which has unpaired electrons and diamagnetic are those in which all electrons are paired.

Given the atomic number - 73

The electronic configuration is -

1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^63d^{10}4s^24p^64d^{10}5s^25p^64f^{14}5d^36s^2

The electrons in 5d orbital = 3

These 3 will be unpaired as electrons are first singly filled.

<u>Thus, the element is paramagnetic as the electrons are unpaired.</u>

3690 J of heat are added to a 21.5 g sample
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

693K

Explanation:

The enthalpy change in the iron is 3690J

We now apply the formula for enthalpy change which is ΔH=mC∅ where ∅ is the temperature change, m the mass of the substance, and C the specific heat capacity for the substance.

ΔH in this case is 3690J.

Therefore 3690J=21.5g×0.449J/g.K×∅

as we are looking for ∅, we make it the subject of the formula.

∅=3690J/(21.5g×0.44J/g)

∅=390

Temperature=30°C +390

=420°+273

=693K

Calculate the density of an aluminum block with a volume of 100 cm3 and a mass of 270g.
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

<h2>2.7 g/cm³</h2>

Explanation:

The density of a substance can be found by using the formula

density =  \frac{mass}{volume}  \\

From the question we have

density =  \frac{270}{100}  =  \frac{27}{10} \\

We have the final answer as

<h3>2.7 g/cm³</h3>

Hope this helps you
