In practice, in most if not all democracies (especially in America), some group or groups are disadvantaged in some way, be it voting rights, judicial rights, social rights, etc. This widespread inequality has led to the concept of <span>democratic ideals. </span><span>It has nothing to do with the Democratic Party, it is just mostly associated with that because the Democratic Party is trying to move further to the left and be more socially liberal to combat the Republican Party becoming more socially conservative.
