Answer: a. a period of macroeconomic expansion followed by a period of contraction.

Explanation:

Business cycle is a period when an economy experiences fluctuation in its economic activities such as rise (expansion) and fall (contraction) in trade, production, businesses and so on. Thus, it is measured by increase and decrease in Gross Domestic Product of a country. Furthermore, it is made up of four phases which are: expansion, peak, contraction and trough. It is also known as economic cycle.

Do you think a situation like the Salem Witch Trials could happen in the present day? Why or why not? Explain your opinion in at
Serggg [28]

Answer:

Absolutely.

Explanation:

There have even BEEN "trials" for people today, after all of which they are found innocent. Cancel culture has ramped up these standards, and people today are willing to believe most rumors they hear. Social Media provides false information and false credibility, often due to infographic formatting. Political campaigns often follow this same scheme, calling the other person out on something which has minimal evidence, and convincing millions that it is true because they trust that political candidate. Not only could the Salem Witch Trials happen today, they ARE happening, at a much higher rate even, than before.

barxatty [35]

Observational research is required to be conducted if someone wants to see whether, when seated next to their closest friends in the cafeteria, students were more likely to spill ketchup on themselves or not.

Moreo about Observational research:

In observational research, people and phenomena are observed in their most natural environments. Instead of using organised environments like study labs or focus groups, this allows researchers to observe how their participants make decisions and respond to circumstances in their everyday lives.

The study of non-experimental circumstances in which behaviour is observed and noted is referred to as observational research. The phrase "what really is going on or what's he doing" could also be used. The variables are neither controlled nor manipulated, hence the study is categorised as non-experimental.

Erin and Mel are having marital problems. Which of the following would help their relationship?
AleksAgata [21]
Erin and Mel are having marital problems. It would help their relationship if anyone of them would ask, "Can we talk about this?". Communicating about the problem would help the couple understand what happened and figure out a solution. The statements like, "It's all your fault.", How could you do that to me?", and "I can't talk to you right now." will only make things worst and not help the relationship.

Discuss the difference between a direct democracy and a representative democracy.
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

  • Republics and democracies both provide a political system in which citizens are represented by elected officials who are sworn to protect their interests.
  • In a pure democracy, laws are made directly by the voting majority leaving the rights of the minority largely unprotected.
  • In a republic, laws are made by representatives chosen the people and must comply with a constitution that specifically protects the rights of the minority from the will of the majority.
  • The United States, while basically a republic, is best described as a “representative democracy.”
