Which strategy would not correctly solve this story problem? Tanya had a dog-walking service during the summer. She took 4 dog w

alks on Tuesdays and 2 dog walks on Thursdays. How many dog walks did Tanya take after 9 weeks of her dog-walking service?
A.
Make a table.

Week 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Total Walks 6 12 18 24 30 36 42

B.
Translate into an equation. 9 × (4 + 2) = d

C.
Draw a diagram. Draw 9 circles. Add 4 + 2 to get the number of dog walks each week (6). Write 6 in each circle. Add the numbers in the circles.

D.
Use logical reasoning. In 1 week Tanya took 4 dog walks on one day and 2 dog walks on another for a total of 6 walks each week. So to figure out the total number of walks, add the number of weeks (9) to the number of walks each week.

I believe either a or c is incorrect because with A the total number of walks would have to continue all of the way until 54. And i dont completely understand C. The wrong one i think is C.

Amanda [17]

Answer:

\huge\boxed{x=1,\ y=2\to(1,\ 2)}

Step-by-step explanation:

\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}3x+4y=11\\x-2y=-3&\text{multiply both sides by (-3)}\end{array}\right\\\\\underline{+\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}3x+4y=11\\-3x+6y=9\end{array}\right}\qquad\text{add both sides of the equations}\\.\qquad\ \ \ \ 10y=20\qquad\text{divide both sides by 10}\\.\qquad\qquad\boxed{y=2}\\\\\text{subtitute it to the second equation:}\\x-2(2)=-3\\x-4=-3\qquad\text{add 4 to both sides}\\\boxed{x=1}

Help me with this please !!!! I will give you 50 POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mumz [18]

Answer:

Option A

Step-by-step explanation:

Option A

f(x) = -3(x + 7)(x + 4),

Remember that to solve for the x-intercepts we equate y to 0,

-3(x + 7)(x + 4) = 0

Using the zero product property,

x + 7 = 0, x + 4 = 0

x = - 7, x = -4

x -intercepts: (- 7, 0) & (- 4, 0)

Hence proved.

Solve for Y: 12y+d=−19y+t
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

y = t/31 - d/31

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve for y:

d + 12 y = t - 19 y

Subtract d - 19 y from both sides:

31 y = t - d

Divide both sides by 31:

Answer: y = t/31 - d/31

Select True or false for each statement
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

False

True

False

False

Step-by-step explanation:

1. We have to get the sum as follows :

3\frac{4}{9} + 4\frac{6}{9}

= \frac{31}{9} + \frac{42}{9}

= \frac{31 + 42}{9}

= \frac{73}{9}

= 8\frac{1}{9} \neq  7\frac{1}{9}

So, this is false.

2. We have to get the sum as follows :

4\frac{5}{6} + 1\frac{3}{6}

= \frac{29}{6} + \frac{9}{6}

= \frac{29 + 9}{6}

= \frac{38}{6}

= 6\frac{2}{6}

So, this is true.

3. We have to get the difference as follows :

4\frac{5}{8} - 2\frac{4}{8}

= \frac{37}{8} - \frac{20}{8}

= \frac{37 - 20}{8}

= \frac{17}{8}

= 2\frac{1}{8} \neq  2\frac{3}{8}

So, this is false.

4. We have to get the difference as follows :

7\frac{5}{8} - 4\frac{2}{8}

= \frac{61}{8} - \frac{34}{8}

= \frac{61 - 34}{8}

= \frac{27}{8}

= 3\frac{3}{8} \neq   3

So, this is also false. (Answer)
