Answer:

Annual demand(D) = 1,210

Ordering cost(S) = $26

Annual holding cost (H) = $24

With the order quantity(Q) = 25,

Total cost = Holding cost + ordering cost

= [(Q/2)H] + [(D/Q)S]

= [(25/2)24] + [(1210/25)26]

= $300 + $1258.4

= $1558.4

With the order quantity(Q) = 40,

Total cost = Holding cost + ordering cost

= [(Q/2)H] + [(D/Q)S]

= [(40/2)24] + [(1210/40)26]

= $480 + $786.5

= $1266.5

With the order quantity(Q) = 50,

Total cost = Holding cost + ordering cost

= [(Q/2)H] + [(D/Q)S]

= [(50/2)24] + [(1210/50)26]

= $600 + $605

= $1205

With the order quantity(Q) = 60,

Total cost = Holding cost + ordering cost

= [(Q/2)H] + [(D/Q)S]

= [(60/2)24] + [(1210/60)26]

= $720 + $524.33

= $1244.33

With the order quantity(Q) = 100,

Total cost = Holding cost + ordering cost

= [(Q/2)H] + [(D/Q)S]

= [(100/2)24] + [(1210/100)26]

= $1200 + $314.6

= $1514.6

Blizzard [7]

Answer:

There will be no effect on working capital upon write off as the entries required would be a credit to receivables and a debit to allowance account.

Explanation:

The allowance account is the account used to record receivables due that may not be collectible.

When a company has determined that a receivable may be uncollectible, the company credits the allowance for receivables account and debits bad debit expense. This reduces the accounts receivable balance in the balance sheet as the receivables to be reported will be net the allowance given. As such, where on December 31, 2020, Allowance account balance includes $3,076 for a past due account that is not likely to be collected.

There will be no effect on working capital upon write off as the entries required would be a credit to receivables and a debit to allowance account.

dybincka [34]

Answer: d. A price near $60

Explanation:

The Preferred Stock was selling at $56 then a notice was circulated that RMO would be calling the stock at a price of $60.

This $60 is more than the current $56 and so this will need to reflect in the price of the stock. The adjustment will cause the Preferred stock to start trading near $60 as traders will seek to take advantage of the impending call by buying at a lower price and thus making a bit of profit when the stock is called at $60. The market will adjust to this because the Preferred stock will be perceived as undervalued. A price closer to the Call price will therefore become the new price to properly value the stock.
