Lets get stated :)

2x ( -1 ) - 4 = - 2
- 2x - 4 = - 2

Bring 4 to the right-hand side { You do addition to the opposite }
- 2x = - 2 + 4
- 2x = 2

Take - 2 to the other side in order to isolate x { Do division when you see multiplication }
\frac{-2x}{-2} = \frac{2}{-2}
x = -1

Quick check:
2 ( - 1 ) ( - 1 ) - 4 = - 2
2 - 4 = - 2
- 2 = - 2
So it is the correct value

A building that is 100 for tall casts a shadow that makes a 30 degree angle. Approximately how long in feet is the shadow across
skad [1K]

Answer:   173.20 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Observe the attached image. To know how long the shadow is, we must find the length of the adjacent side in the triangle shown. Where the opposite side represents the height of the building

By definition, the function tan (x) is defined as

tan(x) = \frac{opposite}{adjacent}

So

opposite = 100\ feet\\x=30\°

adjacent = l

Then

tan(30\°) = \frac{100}{l}

l = \frac{100}{tan(30\°)}

l = 173.20\ ft

Pavel [41]

Answer:

<h3>x = -3 , x = 3</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

7x² - 3 = 60

7x² - 3 - 60 = 0

7x² - 63 = 0

Simplify the terms

Divide both terms by 7

That's

x² - 9 = 0

Solve the quadratic equation

Use difference of two squares

That's

a² - b² = ( a + b)(a - b)

x² - 9 = 0

(x + 3)(x - 3) = 0

x + 3 = 0 x - 3 = 0

x = - 3 x = 3

Hope this helps you

Help........ Again and thanks
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

x=3, y=1

Step-by-step explanation:

2x+y =7

3x-4y =5

Multiply the first equation by 4 so we can eliminate y

4(2x+y =7)

8x +4y =28

Add this to the second equation

8x +4y =28

3x-4y =5

----------------

11x = 33

Divide by 11

11x/11=33/11

x=3

Now we still need to find y

2x+y=7

2(3)+y =7

6+y=7

Subtract 6 from each side

6-6+y=7-6

y= 1

What is the range of the function y= 2sinx
Nana76 [90]
<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is: [-2,2]

<h2>Why?</h2>

The range of a function shows where the function can exist in the y-axis.

To know the range of the function, we have to isolate x,

So

y=2sinx\\\frac{y}{2}=sinx\\ Sin^{-1}(\frac{y}{2}) = x

The only possible values that y can take go from -2 to 2. Taking values out of these values will give as result a non-real number.

Therefore,

The range of  the function is [-2,2]

Have a nice day!
