So, if you're trying to solve an equation, here's an example:

2x + 4y = 8
You would minus 2x from both sides. (you want to get the equation into a mx + b format)
4y= -2x + 8
you would now divide both sides by 4
y = -1/2x + 2
So now that your equation is in y = mx+b, you should know your answer.

mx= to slope
b= y-intercept

so, therefore, your y-intercept is 2.

Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

To subtract mentally 81 from 304, complete following steps:

<u>Step 1:</u> Write number 304 as

304=300+4\\ \\304=200+100+3+1\\ \\304=200+20+80+3+1

<u>Step 2: </u>Write number 81 as

81=80+1

<u>Step 3: </u>Now subtract 80 and 1 from number 304:

304-81=(200+20+80+1+3)-(80+1)\\ \\304-81=200+20+3\\ \\304-81=223

Can someone help me??
IRISSAK [1]
An arc is a portion of the circumference which is 2pr.  And you want the difference between the large and small arcs..

a=2pr(120/360)  (we are multiplying the circumference by a fraction of the angle vs a complete circle...)

And the difference we seek is between the large and small arcs so:

d=(2p/3)(R-r)

d=(2p/3)(5-4)

d=2p/3 cm

d≈2.1 cm  (to nearest tenth of a centimeter)
