The U.S. treated Native Americans inhumane. The expansion caused the U.S. to take over their land, and forced them to move across west. It was called The Trail Of Tears, due to around 4,000 of them (Cherokee) dying, before even reaching their destination. Death was caused by hunger, disease, and hypothermia. There are now only few people who are Natives today. You can use this information to determine rather or not it should be considered genocide.
