The painting style of Michelangelo was of fresco art nature.

Michelangelo has been though this technique since early age by his superiors. He showed great talent, creativity, and was creating excellent, high quality paintings. Some of the paintings that are considered to be the best in the world are actually painted by Michelangelo himself.

It has to be mentioned though that despite having a great talent for painting and producing some of the masterpieces of painting, that was actually not Michelangelo primary focus and passion. Michelangelo was predominantly a sculptor, and most of his artistic career was dedicated to creating sculptures, not paintings.
