Answer: Hello mate!

Here we want to see which numbers are a solution for our inequality, and let's find them all.

the inequality is:

x + 16 > 51

first, if we add o subtract the same number on both sides of the inequality, the inequality remains the same, then i can subtract 16 on both sides:

x + 16 - 16 > 51 - 16

x > 35

then the numbers that are a solution to this inequality are all of those that are smaller than 35.

Okay seems like you need to find the numbers that are greater than 51

so it says solution set

x + 16 > 51
plug some numbers

so
45 + 16 > 51
61 > 51
so keep adding numbers to find a solution that is bigger than 51

valkas [14]

Answer:

96 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

3 multiplied by what gives you 24?

8 right?

So, what you want to do is 8 multiplied by 12.

Doing so you will reach the conclusion that 12 multiplied by 8 equals 96.

So you can go 96 miles on a speedboat with 12 gallons of gas.

I hope this helped you :)

ΔABC and ΔXYZ are similar triangles. The lengths of two sides of each triangle are shown. Find the lengths of the third side of
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

b=9

x=5.5

Step-by-step explanation:

find the common ration

AB is 6, and XY is 3 (they are the corresponding sides)

ratio is 2 to 1 (6/3=2/1)

AC corresponds with YZ

XY is 4.5 so b is 4.5*2=9

ZY corresponds with CB

CB is 11, since XYZ is the smaller divide by 2 instead of multiplying by 2

Hi can someone tell me how is the answer 113?? how do i type it in the calculator?? im confused can someone please explain ASAP!
Trava [24]

You shouldn't need a calculator for this. The quadratic equation is written in standard form.

ax^2 + bx + c = 0

You substitute a, b, and c into the discriminant formula and solve as shown in the example in the picture you provided.

(-7)^2 - 4(2)(-8)

49 - 4(-16)

49 - (-64)

49 + 64

113

Best of Luck!
