History

They would do various things. Sometimes they would give the opponents money to avoid war, sometimes they would form alliances through marriages. If they had been democratic they would've avoided even more since the people rarely wanted to go to war but they did because the monarchs wanted them to. They could give opponents land or they could unify under a single banner and avoid war that way.

About what percent of slaves died while in route to the new world from Africa?
Oksanka [162]
It was 17% of slaves. Because during travel some died crossing the route. Like Antarctica. Since they didn't have much clothing they died from frost bite or hypothermia.

How did the American Revolution begin to bring an end to slavery.
HELP ASAP!
tester [92]

Answer:

Basically, the Revolution had contradictory effects on slavery. North states abolished it outright and/or adopted emancipation plans. Besides that, the Revolution inspired African-American resistance against slavery. As such, during the Revolution, thousands of slaves obtained their freedom by running away, which eventually led to the end of slavery.

Vietnamization meant:
kaheart [24]

Answer: B. US troops would gradually withdraw from Vietnam.

Context/detail:

Richard Nixon came into office as President in January, 1969. By that time the war in Vietnam involved hundreds of thousands of American troops and over 30,000 American lives had already been lost in the war. The war had become increasingly unpopular with the American people. In November, 1969, President Nixon gave a speech which announced his Vietnamization policy, which emphasized that the United States must empower South Vietnamese forces to assume more combat duties.

By the time the US was shifting emphasis to this sort of policy, it was too late to stave off the victory of the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces. The US eventually withdrew its forces from Vietnam in 1973, and by 1975, Saigon (in South Vietnam) fell to the North Vietnamese communist forces.
