Americans earn more than most others throughout the world.  Why is this?  Is it because we are smarter, stronger, or more physic

ally fit?  Is it because we have a unified culture, a single language or the same religion? Is it because we have more natural resources or smarter politicians?  What is the key ingredient that has allowed the U.S. to achieve the highest standard of living ever seen in the last 5,000 years of recorded human history?  Explain.

SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

B) Total assets increased by $200.

Explanation:

If during Year 2, Chico Company earned $1,950 of cash revenue, paid $1,600 of cash expenses, and paid a $150 cash dividend to its owners. Based on this information alone:

Then it is correct that there was a net income of $350 before the payment of dividend which is gotten by 1,950 - 1,600. Cash from operating activities will also be the same amount of $350.

However it will not be correct to state that assets increased by $200 as there is no such indication.

Suppose that $2000 is loaned at a rate of 11.5% , compounded semiannually. assuming that no payments are made, find the amount o
Zolol [24]

This problem is solved by using the compound interest formula:
 A=P(1+(I/period))^(number of periods)
 Where A = amount accumulated and P = amount loaned and I = Interest
 A = ? P = $2, 000, I = 0.115, Period = 2 (semi annually) Number of period = 2
*7 (I. e paid twice over a 7 yrs span)
 So we have
 A = 2000 ( 1 + 0.115/2)^(14)
 A = 2000 ( 1 + 0.0575)^(14)
 A = 2000 (1.0575)^(14)
 A = 2000 (2.1873851765154) = 4374.77035
 So we have 4374.80 to the nearest cent.

The following section is taken from Blossom's balance sheet at December 31, 2021. Current liabilities Interest payable $ 40,500
aev [14]

Answer:

(a) Journalize the payment of the bond interest on January 1, 2022.

Dr Interest payable - bonds payable 40,400

    Cr Cash 40,400

The interest expense on the bonds payable should have been accrued on the 2021 balance sheet, that is why we debit interest payable and not interest expense.

(b) Assume that on January 1, 2022, after paying interest, Blossom calls bonds having a face value of $100,000. The call price is 103. Record the redemption of the bonds.

Dr Bonds payable 100,000

Dr Call premium 3,000

    Cr Cash 103,000

(c) Prepare the adjusting entry on December 31, 2022, to accrue the interest on the remaining bonds.

interest expense = $405,000 x 8% = $32,400

Dr Interest expense - bonds payable 32,400

    Cr Interest payable - bonds payable 32,400
