Further explanation

United States Federal Court. US Federal Court Claims are also Article I trials with appointed judges for a period of 15 years. It is based in Washington, DC, but can hold trials in other courts throughout the country. Its jurisdiction is limited to hearing claims of money arising from the US Constitution, federal laws, executive regulations, or federal contracts. Included in this jurisdiction is the express authority to hear claims by taxpayers on federal tax returns paid. Like the district court, taxpayers who submit claims must first pay the shortfall specified by the IRS. Appeals from the Federal Claim Court are brought to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

In the United States, state courts have jurisdiction over disputes over a number of matters relating to a US state, when it conflicts with the federal government. State courts handle the most civil and criminal cases in the United States; United States federal courts handle different types of cases.

Generally, state courts are general law courts and apply their state laws and procedures to decide cases.

The correct answer is option B. The losing parties in civil trials and convicted criminals seek to involve the federal appeal courts in their cases because they feel that laws were incorrectly interpreted or applied. By taking the case to a new court with different magistrate judges, they are expecting these last ones to revise the whole case and determine that the previous court applied or interpreted the laws wrongly, therefore changing or dropping the conviction. Federal appeals courts are also known for acting like mediators between the parts, which could be of great favor for the losing parties.

What were the advantages of the five -year plans of china and Russia?what are the disadvantages?
scZoUnD [109]

Answer:The Pentagon unveiled its National Defense Strategy, a document that focuses on the "eroding" U.S. military advantage with regard to Russia and China, and will likely influence future spending on weapons systems and other military hardware.

"The department needs to focus on Russia and China," said Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy and Force Development Elbridge Colby, during a question and answer session with reporters at the Pentagon. "The erosion of our military advantage is the problem."

Colby said the strategy in no way diminishes the U.S. focus on terrorism, which he termed "a very serious threat."

But the document states, "Inter-state strategic competition, not terrorism, is now the primary concern in U.S. national security."

The new Pentagon strategy is in contrast to the National Security Strategy outlined last month with a statement from President Trump that mentioned neither Russia nor China, but instead focused elsewhere.

"We are rallying the world against the rogue regime in North Korea," Trump said in his statement, "and confronting the danger posed by the dictatorship in Iran, which those determined to pursue a flawed nuclear deal had neglected. We have renewed our friendships in the Middle East and partnered with regional leaders to help drive out terrorists and extremists, cut off their financing, and discredit their wicked ideology. We crushed Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists on the battlefields of Syria and Iraq, and will continue pursuing them until they are destroyed. America's allies are now contributing more to our common defense, strengthening even our strongest alliances. We have also continued to make clear that the United States will no longer tolerate economic aggression or unfair trading practices."
