Answer:

Cesar Chavez spoke for many when he said the following, “We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community.…Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.”

Despite the many cautions from her mother, the young girl still announced, “I want ketchup on my French fries. I don’t want mayonnaise!”

In describing her art to her potential patrons, the sculptor stated loftily, “I believe that what I create is more than something to gaze upon and admire. I certainly hope to transcend the typical senses and bring those who see my work to a higher plane of awareness and sensation.”

Explanation:

For the three given sentences, the use of a comma will best suit them. One reason is, since they are all quotes or rather spoken words or conversations, the use of the comma is required.

Commas are used just before the start of a spoken speech, before the speech begins in a sentence. So, for the three given sentences, commas will be the correct punctuation needed.

Do your experiences at this time of pandemic change the way you decide on things? in what way??
natima [27]

Answer with Explanation:

Yes, my experience at this time of pandemic changed the way I decide on things. For example, I decided to spend more time at home rather than going to the mall, which I normally did before the pandemic. I believe this will lessen the possibility of my contracting the corona virus. I also celebrated my birthday at home with my family instead of celebrating it with my classmates. Instead of going to the restaurant to eat or take out food, I'd order through Food Apps. In this case, I don't need to commute (as this increases my exposure to the virus) and it's more convenient.

If ever I go out of the house, I make sure to bring a mask and an alcohol with me. Upon going home, I also make sure to take a bath. Such things are now included in my decisions.

A line passes through (5, –4) and (–1, –4).Use the work below.equationWhat can you conclude about this line? Select all that app
Gala2k [10]

we can conclude that the line is a horizontal line because both points share the same y value.

since the line is horizontal and every point on that line will have a y value of -4, the equation is y=-4

finally, the slope of this line IS zero. this is because the line is a horizontal line and all horizontal lines have a slope of zero.

hope this helped!

Why wasn't Parks allowed to drink water or
make a phone call?
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer: Because She was BLACK. Daz why.

Explanation: Parks was taken to jail. She asked for a drink of water but they refused. Finally she was allowed a call home. Her mother was terrified when she heard Rosa was in jail, worried she’d been beaten. Raymond promised to come get her right away, but she knew it would take awhile because he didn’t have a car and needed to find a bail bondsmen. Two iconic pictures of Parks being fingerprinted (seen here) and of her mugshot are not from this arrest, but rather from her arrest in February 1956 during boycott when she was arrested along with other boycott organizers for their role in the boycott. But they are regularly mis-attributed to this arrest.
