Answer:

Maximum profit = $840

For maximum profit, number of outdoor shoes will be 12 and indoor shoes 16.

Step-by-step explanation:

Manufacturer makes outdoor and indoor soccer shoes.

The company has 40 hours for step one and 60 hours available for step two.

Let the company manufacture number of outdoor shoes = x and indoor shoes = y

For each pair of outdoor shoes,

It takes 2 hours in step 1 and 1 hour in step 2 and produces a profit of $20.

For each pair of indoor shoes,

It takes 1 hour in step one and 3 hours in step 2 and produces a profit of $15.

For step one inequality will be,

2x + y ≤ 40 ------(1)

For step two inequality will be,

x + 3y ≤ 60 ------(2)

Multiply inequality (2) by 2 and subtract it from inequality (1).

2(x + 3y) - (2x + y) ≤ 60(2) - 40

2x + 6y - 2x - y ≤ 120 - 40

5y ≤ 80

y ≤ 16

Now from equation (2)

x + 3(16) ≤ 60

x + 48 ≤ 60

x ≤ 60 - 48

x ≤ 12

To manufacture 12 pairs of outdoor shoes, profit produced = $20×12

= $240

To manufacture 16 indoor shoes, profit earned = $15×16

= $240

Maximum profit produced = $240 + $240 = $480

S_A_V [24]

Answer:

224 Stamps

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a very simple problem!

<em>If each page has 14 stamps, how many stamps would 16 pages have?</em>

It is 14 multiplied by 16.

Hence, total number of stamps = 14*16=224 stamps

How many solutions does the equation 5x + 3x − 4 = 10 + 8x have? (4 points)
Drupady [299]

Step-by-step explanation:

5x + 3x - 4 = 10 + 8x \\ 8x - 4 = 10 + 8x \\ 8x - 8x = 10 + 4 \\ = 14

Since x has been eliminated (8x-8x = 0), there are no solutions in this equation.

Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I think your question is missed of key information, allow me to add in and hope it will fit the original one.

Please have a look at the attached photo.

My answer:

1. Chuck wants to draw three-dimensional figures whose lateral faces are rectangles. He says he can draw prisms and pyramids. Do you agree

No, I do not agree because:

  • The lateral faces of a pyramid are triangles
  • The lateral faces of a prism are rectangles

2. Part B. Chuck says that he can draw a cylinder on his polyhedron poster because it has a pair of bases that are congruent.

No, do not agree because:

A  cylinder has two congruent bases but it is not a  polyhedron while a cylinder has a curved surface when a polyheron has faces that are polygons

Hope it will find you well.

PLSSSSS HELP!!!!!!!!!
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

x=30º

∠CAB=60°

∠ACB=80°

Step-by-step explanation:

Because the angles of every triangle add up to 180º, we know that:

2x+20+2x=180-40\\ 4x=180-40-20\\ 4x=180-60\\ 4x=120\\ x=\frac{120}{4}

x=30º

Plug that in for x on both angles, and you will get

∠CAB=60°

∠ACB=80°
