The Sun is made up hot plasma having internal convective motion which generates a magnetic field through the dynamo process. According to scientists, the Sun was formed from a giant rotating cloud of gas and dust called the solar nebula. The nebula collapsed due to force of gravity on it causing it to spun faster and flattened the disk. Material was then pulled towards the center to form the sun.
