Think about what a claim is. a claim is something that you state, even if you don't have proof. choice C is a fact, not a claim--it would be used as evidence to support a claim, but it doesn't serve as a claim itself.

i would say that B is the most appropriate claim to argue that people should be more nutritionally knowledgeable. choice D is almost a counterargument, in a sense, because it lists a flaw with food labels. choice A is a statement, but it can be proven with evidence--one could look at a food label to search for the listed items.

Answer:

Claim for an argument: Consumers rarely understand food labels because there are too many measurements cited.

Explanation:

The other options are not claims.

Counterclaim: Though the information is sometimes challenging to decode, consumers should take the time to understand food labels.

Reason: Food label provide valuable information, including ingredients, nutritional info, and calories counts.

Evidence: Allergy information is no available on  all food labels, and warnings alert consumer about nuts, dairy, and gluten.

It should be argument from ignorance because an appeal to logic is not a fallacy, while begging the question is not always a fallacy. Bandwagonning is when you believe something because everyone else believes it.
