Alright so because there are 12 months in a you would multiply the amount he eats per month by 12 which would equal 63 pounds of fruit in a year 5 1/4 pounds multiplied by 12 months = 63 pounds

5.25 times 12. (5.25 because 1/4=.25)
5.25x12=63
He will eat 63 pounds of fruit each year!

Can someone please answer both these two Algebra questions asap thanks.
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

(7)

Here m = - 3 and (a, b) = (5, 1), thus

y - 1 = - 3(x - 5) ← equation of line

(8)

Calculate m using the slope formula

m = (y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = A(- 2, 1) and (x₂, y₂ ) = B(- 1, 3)

m = \frac{3-1}{-1+2} = 2

Using any of the 2 points as (a, b)

Using m = 2 and (a, b) = (- 2, 1), then

y - 1 = 2(x - (- 2)), that is

y - 1 = 2(x + 2) ← equation of line

From the set {1, 2, 6}, use substitution to determine which value of x makes the equation true. 20 - 3x = 2
stepan [7]

Answer:

\large\boxed{x=6}

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{Put x = 1, x = 2 and x = 6 to the equation 20 - 3x = 2:}\\\\for\ x=1:\\\\L_s=20-3(1)=20-3=17\\R_s=2\\L_s\neq R_s\\\boxed{NO}\\\\for\ x=2:\\\\L_s=20-3(2)=20-6=14\\R_s=2\\L_s\neq R_s\\\boxed{NO}\\\\for\ x=6:\\\\L_s=20-3(6)=20-18=2\\R_s=2\\L_s=R_s\\\boxed{YES}
