Answer:

1st and 3rd options

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given three scatter plots. We are asked to choose the plots with cluster.

We know that cluster in a dot plot is formed when many data points lie in a small interval.

We can see that graphs represented by 1st option and 3rd option have many data points in a small interval, therefore, 1st and 3rd options are correct choice.

I hope this is the whole picture because generally there are for options, but If this is the whole picture then the answer would be A and B.

The best way I can explain this is that a cluster is when the dots are relatively close together

Hope this helped!

If f(x) = 7x2 - 4x, what is the value
of f(2)?
F -8
J 17
G 2
K 20
H 6
kow [346]

Answer:

K 20

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 7x2 - 4x

f (2) = 7 (2)^2 - 4(2)

= 28 - 8

= 20

Since they replaced the x inside f(x) with 2, just do that the same to the right side, change all x into 2

An animal gained 4 pounds steadily over 16 years what is the unit of rate of pounds per year?
Vikki [24]
Think about it... If it gains 4 pounds in 16 years, how many does it grow in 1 year? :) See the relation? If not...

a) How would you express it growing per year? 4 pounds in 16 years... It must be 4/16!
b) To find the unit rate, the numerator MUST BE 1. What can you do to 4 to get to 1? You can divide by 4!
c) Of course, whatever you do to one side of the fraction, you HAVE to do to the other. That means you have to divide the 4 in the equation by 4 AND the 16 in the equation by 4. You should get 1/4, because 4/4 is 1 and 16/4 is 4.
d) Wow! That means your unit rate is 1 pound per 4 years, or 1/4!

TIP:
Try thinking of the division sign / as 'per'. Instead of the unit rate being thought of as 1/4, think of it as 1 per 4 years. :)
