Your unit has arrived on the scene of a multiple vehicle collision where several vehicles have rear-ended each other. You are di

rected by the incident commander to care for a 23-year-old female in the first vehicle. The firefighter on-scene holding manual spinal immobilization indicates that her primary complaint is back pain from her head whipping back and forth from the impact. Your understanding of the anatomy of the spinal column and vertebrae suggests that this type of mechanism of injury results in frequent injuries to which part of the spinal column?

Answer: Cervical spine

Explanation:

Cervical spine is the superior portion of the vertebrae column, lying between cranium and thoracic vertebrae.

Symptoms of Cervical spine pain are the following;

•Pain in the neck that may travel to your arms or shoulders.

•Headaches.

•A grinding feeling when you move your neck

•Numbness in your shoulders, arms, or hands.

•Stiffness in the neck.

So, it's a high probability she's having a cervical spine issue

Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life (until they die or choose to retire). Discuss the pros and cons of this policy.
natali 33 [55]
The Supreme Court requires a large amount of domain knowledge that takes years upon years to acquire. By letting a supreme court judge stay indefinitely, it lets the judges become subject matter experts and stay consistent in their rulings, which gives the perception that our highest court is predictable, knowledgeable and fair.

On the other hand, because the supreme court has become very politicized, this means that the party that is in charge when a new justice is appointed gets a disproportionate amount of control over the rule of law for an indefinite period of time.

Daniel's work placed him in a group of 5 to demonstrate a new method of taking inventory of the store's products in less time. T
frosja888 [35]

Answer: cooperation; aggression; most people cooperate

Explanation:

Two of Daniel's group members do not seem interested in contributing. Daniel begins to get frustrated that his goal of completing the task is blocked. Daniel remembers that cooperation is better than aggression, especially when most people cooperate.

It is better to try to cooperate with others than to be aggressive. Aggression can have the effect of pushing people away or putting them under pressure which can invariably lead to lower quality work.

In this case it is better that Daniel tries to cooperate with the other 2 members who are interested in contributing as they still constitute a majority. When the other 2 see this, they may become encouraged to join in the discussion.

If Daniel responds with aggression, it might even push away the other 2 members that seem interested in contributing because they may not feel comfortable working with him.
