Answer:

Current Liabilities

Federal Income Taxes Payable $336,000

Advances on Magazine Subscriptions $1,593,750

Total Current Liabilities $1,929,750

Explanation:

Federal Income Taxes Payable

This is a current Liability as it falls under a period of a year. As March ends the first quarter, the quarterly tax is;

= 840,000 x 40%

= $336,000

Advances on Magazine Subscriptions

They are to deliver monthly subscriptions for 12 months to the tune of 25,000 copies which they have already been paid for. Under the Accrual system they cannot recognize this as revenue until they have fulfilled their obligation to deliver the magazines and until then, they are current Liabilities. As of end of March, they have fulfilled their obligations for 3 months leaving 9 in the year.

= 25,000 x $85 x 9/12

=$1,593,750

Nuetrik [128]

Answer:

$2.5 per share

Explanation:

Earning Per share is the amount of earning for the period that allocated to each share. Normally it is calculated using common shares. The earning used in this calculation is purely the earning that is associated with the shareholders of the company. We can have this earning after deducting all the expenses and preferred dividend as well.

Formula:

Earnings per share = Net Income / Numbers of common Shares

Earnings per share = $450,000 / 180,000

Earnings per share = $2.5 per share

Which of the scenarios are examples of free-riding?
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

b. Bob listens to the radio station several hours per day but never donates since he suspects that other people will donate enough to keep the station on the air.

. Jim is working on a group project for a class in which he wants a high grade. However, since the grades are assigned to the group as a whole and he knows that the other group members will pick up most of the extra work, Jim calls in sick and plays video games on his Dream Station 64.

Explanation:

Free riding is when a person enjoys the benefit of a good or service but doesn't pay for it. This is a form of market failure.

Bob listens to the radio but doesn't donate and Jim would benefit from the grade given to the group but doesn't participate. These are instances of free riding.

Karl doesn't drive at night and so doesn't enjoy the benefits of the street light and doesn't pay. This is not an instance of free riding.

I hope my answer helps
