From the sum of 5-9i and -4+7i, subtract 14-3i
Kryger [21]

Answer:

Subtract: 5 - 9i = 5-9i

Add: the result of step No. 1 + (-4) = (5-9i) + (-4) = (5-4) + (-9i) = 1-9i

Add: the result of step No. 2 + 7i = (1-9i) + 7i = 1 + (-9+7)i = 1-2i

Subtract: 1 - 2i = 1-2i

Subtract: the result of step No. 1 - 4 = (1-2i) - 4 = (1-4) + (-2i) = -3-2i

Add: the result of step No. 2 + 7i = (-3-2i) + 7i = -3 + (-2+7)i = -3+5i

Step-by-step explanation:

Correct me if I'm wrong pls and ty :).

Hope this helps.

The temperature in Anchorage, Alaska at 6 a.m. was 2°C. If the temperature drops 2 degrees each hour, what is the temperature in
Alchen [17]

Answer:

-14°C

Step-by-step explanation:

6 + 8 = 14

So in 24 hour time that would be 2pm

From 6am to 2pm is 8 hours

If the degrees is going down by 2 you would times the 8 by 2 because it is doubled

That = 16

Then you'll minus 16°C from the 2°C

2°C - 16°C

= -14°C

Write an equation of the line that passes through (2, -5) and is parallel to the line 2y = 3x + 10
Zarrin [17]

First you get "y" by itself. To do so you divide 2 on both sides.

y = 3/2x + 5

To write an equation of a line that is PARALLEL to this equation, the slopes have to be the SAME. So the slope is 3/2.

You then use the equation:

y = mx + b

SInce you know "m" you plug it in.

y = 3/2x + b

Now you need to find b. To do so you plug in the point (2, -5) into this equation.

-5 = 3/2(2) + b

-5 = 3 + b

-8 = b

Finally you plug in b and you get your new equation.

y = 3/2x - 8
