CupCaking, a cupcake bakery, uses the equation below to determine the price of cupcakes, where y represents the total price in d

ollars and x represents the number of cupcakes purchased.
Y=3/2x

Cake Me, another cupcake bakery, uses the table below to determine prices.
(x) (y)
2 3.50
3 5.25
4 7.00
6 10.50

Katie bought one cupcake from CupCaking and Sarah bought one cupcake from Cake Me.

Which of the following are true?
A) Katie is paying the smaller price of $1.50 per cupcake.
B)Sarah is paying the smaller price of $1.25 per cupcake.
C) Katie is paying $0.25 per cupcake more than Sarah.
D)Sarah is paying $0.25 per cupcake more than Katie.
E)They are paying the same price per cupcake.

You can pick more then one :)

A is true and D is true because 3 divided by 2 is 1.5 and x is 1 ( the number of cupcakes she is buying) so the total she is paying for is 1.50 while if you notice the pattern in cake me they are charging 1.75 per cupcake. (7.00 - 1.75 = 5.25)

Kevin is solving this problem. 737 × 205 What are the partial products Kevin will need to solve the problem? A. 3,685 and 147,40
Andrew [12]

the answer is A

700 x 5 = 3500

30 x 5 = 150

7 x 5 = 35

3500 + 150 +35 = 3685

700 x 200 = 140,000

30 x 200 = 6000

7 x 200 = 1400

140000 + 6000 + 1400 = 147400

3. Two cars are parked, 150m apart, and on opposite sides of a building. A camera on the top of the building rotates and can vie
allsm [11]

Answer:

<em>The building is 61.5 m tall</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

The image below is a diagram where all the given distances and angles are shown. We have additionally added some variables:

h = height of the building

a, b = internal angles of each triangle

x  = base of each triangle

The angles a and b can be easily found by subtracting the given angles from 90° since they are complementary angles, thus:

a = 90° - 37° = 53°

b = 90° - 42° = 48°

Now we apply the tangent ratio on both triangles separately:

\displaystyle \tan a=\frac{\text{opposite leg}}{\text{adjacent leg}}

\displaystyle \tan 53^\circ=\frac{150-x}{h}

\displaystyle \tan 48^\circ=\frac{x}{h}

From the last equation:

x=h.\tan 48^\circ

Substituting into the first equation:

\displaystyle \tan 53^\circ=\frac{150-h.\tan 48^\circ}{h}

Operating on the right side:

\displaystyle \tan 53^\circ=\frac{150}{h}-\tan 48^\circ

Rearranging:

\displaystyle \tan 53^\circ+\tan 48^\circ=\frac{150}{h}

Solving for h:

\displaystyle h=\frac{150}{\tan 53^\circ+\tan 48^\circ}

Calculating:

h = 61.5 m

The building is 61.5 m tall
